SALLAH CELEBRATION FORCES POSTPONEMENT OF FLYING EAGLES TIE AGAINST SUDAN

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has shifted the date for the Flying Eagles of Nigeria 2017 Africa Youth Championship qualifiers first leg tie against Sudan.

CAF communicated to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday informing them of the change of date from Friday July 8 to Sunday 10th of July.

Sources gathered that Sallah celebrations schedule to take place on Thursday the 7th of July brought about the change in date as some CAF officials will be on holiday if it were to be played on the date earlier fixed.

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will now depart the shores of Nigeria on Thursday next week ahead of the first leg tie in Khartoum in the final rounds of qualifiers for next year AYC which Nigeria are defending champions after winning the last edition held in Senegal.
